10 Best Hotels in Kiev Booked by Foreign Tourists

Kiev is the capital of Ukraine; therefore, this city is full of attractions, hotels in Kiev, restaurants and is the main transport hub in Ukraine. But the first question when you are planning your trip is where to stay. We have compiled an independent list of Kiev hotels foreign tourists, guests of Guide me UA, choose most often. Here are both luxurious and budget places.
If you come to Ukrainian capital for only few hours or half a day, Kiev tour agency will help you to plan your leisure and see the sights of Kiev, arrange airport transfers and plan the program properly, so you will not waste your time.
But returning to accommodations, let’s define which ones are the best.

Best Kiev Hotels

The criterion was not price, location, or novelty. The list includes both luxurious five-star and budget comfortable places. The main factor is the popularity among foreign tourists. And the statistics was collected solely on the basis of the data of Guide ne UA tour agency, and is not official in the city. We do not publish prices for rooms in the article, because they can vary depending on the season.
So, let’s start with the 10th place.

10. DREAM Hostel

It is located in a beautiful historical place on Andreevskiy Descent (Andrew’s Descent)  in a secret courtyard in front of the famous cafe Lvivska Maisternia Chokoladu (Lviv Handmade Chocolate), where homemade chocolate is made.
DREAM Hostel, like all places of this format offers friendly international atmosphere. And being the best hostel in Kiev, this one is included in top 10 places where foreign guests often stay.

Unfortunately, it is not so easy to find a good hostel in Kiev, since this type of residence is still quite new for Ukraine. Many hostels in Kiev have simply been converted from old Soviet dormitories and do not meet European quality standards at all. In such Kiev hostels you will never find a special youth atmosphere you are so used to. Therefore, Dream Hostel (Kiev) is a place you will surely love.
Of course, you can get to know about rooms and prices at booking.com. We just want to add that this is the best option for budget tourists who want to live in a beautiful old place.

9. Ibis Hotel Kiev

Another rather budget option for accommodation is Ibis Hotel Kiev. Choosing international hotel chains even if it’s a 3-star hotel is more likely the right option, because such companies value their reputation and maintain a universally defined level of service.
Therefore, there will be no stunning surprises here, as in other 3-star hotels in Kiev.
Interiors, location, and staff – everything is quite decent. It is not the city center, but use Uber and for 2 dollars and 10 minutes you will be in the city center. And in the summer it’s just perfect to stop here, since the city botanical garden is located in 7 minutes walk.

8. Hyatt Regency Kiev

The famous Hyatt Hotel in Kiev takes the eighth line in the frequency of booking among the guests of Guide me UA agency. It is famous because it is the most expensive in Kiev. Some guests of the Ukrainian capital can afford to pay 300-1800 USD per night.
Location of Hyatt Kiev is ideal – on Sophia Square with a beautiful view of the ancient churches, and it is only 700 meters to get to the main square, the Maidan. On the eighth floor there is a marvelous bar, it’s called Bar on 8.
So even if you stay in another hotel, come here to admire one of the best views of Kiev. The level of service, quality of rooms, food – make sure it is all at the highest level.

7. 11 Mirrors Design Hotel Kiev

The co-founder of this hotel is Klitschko’s younger brother, Vladimir. Senior brother, Vitaliy is the current mayor of Kiev (2017), and they are both well-known Ukrainian boxers, world champions in heavyweight.
Besides, the elder, the mayor of Kiev lives next door to the hotel, so stopping at 11 Mirrors you can always brag to your friends that you lived next to the city mayor. The hotel has a boutique format, and if you describe it in one word, then most likely it is “elegant”. The hotel is ideally located, next to the Opera House and about 15 minutes walk from the main street called Khreshchatyk.
However, being the 5-star hotel in Kiev and quite small, 11 Mirrors is hard to book, especially in the spring-summer-autumn season. Therefore, if you choose this hotel, book in advance.

6. Hotel Ukraine

Before the war, there was the first Kiev skyscraper, the Ginzburg Skyscraper on the site of this hotel. During the war, the Germans blew it up.
The building was rebuilt and became a hotel called Moscow with a monument to Lenin in front of it.
Hotel Moscow and October Revolution Square (Independence Square today), November, 1981
Now the hotel was renamed to Hotel Ukraine, and the monument was replaced by the Independence Monument – Berehynia statue. However, if you want to feel all the Soviet past of the city, you should stay here: it is the city center, it is inexpensive and still has the Soviet smell; this is what many tourists want to experience when going to Kiev.
Also, the hotel is located on Institutska Street, where four years ago sniper killed many Ukrainian activists, so the area around the hotel is surrounded by monuments, wreaths and memorial symbols, creating the effect of a small cemetery. However, those who are not indifferent to the fate of the people of Ukraine and the latest actions of the revolution will be able to fully immerse in the atmosphere.
It is a 4-star hotel and it is a part of the architectural ensemble of the main square of Independence.
