Is it safe in Kiev? Is it worth going to Kiev?

Is it safe for foreigners in Kiev, Ukraine?

Many tourists are worried about whether they can safely travel to Ukraine, to Kiev, whether such a trip will be safe. Being born here and having experienced the Soviet past, the revolutions of independent Ukraine, and actively monitoring its social life today, we responsibly declare – trips to Ukraine and in particular to Kiev for foreign citizens are absolutely safe!
From our FB:
Ukraine is multiethnic country where we treat other people’s opinions, faiths, skin color and other artificially created differences between people with respect and tolerance.
Ukrainians are very hospitable and extremely patient even in really provocative situations. If you do not artificially create tension in relations with the inhabitants of the country, provoke them to conflict, staying in Kiev and Ukraine as a whole will be absolutely safe. However, these rules of conduct are valid in any country of the world.
Rumors spread by propaganda assure tourists that a trip to Ukraine now can turn into a dangerous adventure. Masters of propaganda tell incredible stories about concentration camps, mafia, and secret prisons of special services.
It’s nothing more than a fantasy. In addition, many people in Kiev speak Russian, despite the conflict with Russia, which has now grown into a sluggish process; one can feel its consequences only in the east of the country, which is 700-800 km from Kiev.
Ukrainians are easy-going and friendly; the majority has a good sense of humor and optimistic outlook on life, regardless of the difficulties. Therefore, staying in Ukraine for foreigners is safe, moreover – it’s a great way to make new friends among locals, and even find friends or other halves. After all, Ukraine is famous for its beautiful people.

Can I go to Kiev now? Is it worth going to Kiev?

Khreshchatyk is the heart of the capital. On the street there are cinemas, ancient buildings, fountains, historical monuments, many restaurants and cafes. In the very center of the street is the famous Independence Square (Maidan Nezalezhnosti), full of revolutionary spirit. Ukraine dreams of being free European country with developed economy and therefore the population is ready to protest and achieve its main goal.
Khreshchatyk originates on the European Square, adjacent to a large park area with several large parks cascading. It is good to walk along the well-groomed alleys in any season of the year – the area is beautiful both in summer and in winter.
