Anna, 20, student:
When I found out that a place of this format had opened in Kiev, I wanted to see it with my own eyes. There is a lot of freedom here: you can watch a movie, play Xbox, arrange a date or get together with friends, chat and eat pizza. Everything to suit your mood and the company. With and without reason.
I celebrated my birthday there. They helped to organize everything: starting from choosing the best suiting room and finishing with the supplier of food. There are many rooms for a different number of people and with different designs. There are movies and Xbox games to choose from, table games. Anti-cinema also provides plates and cups, ice, shaker and other necessary things. I was satisfied. I’ll come there again.

Elena, 26, manager:
“Botan” is located in a quiet part of the city center. This place suggests: “Go sit in the library.” At home, I constantly move while reading. I read a lot, I even tried to organize myself a special place with a lamp and pillows, but… then I want coffee, then lie down, then sit on the window (which I do not have). So, Botan is about me. I can stand at the same time, lie down, drink coffee, jump from book to book, switch light… and all this in absolute silence. Yes, the silence there is also like the snow in summer.

Pavel 29, product designer:
More than a year ago I hardly knew anything either about BrakeWater, or about wake surfing in general. One day, my wife made a surprise for my birthday: we came to some strange place among the bushes on Trukhanov Island to learn how to ride wake surf and have dinner. When I arrived, I was surprised: a well-groomed territory, a lawn for summer relaxation under the sun, a pantone for parking boats and a restaurant, nice staff. She found out about the place from her friend Kolya, the world-famous wake surfing champion, who sometimes spent time there and gave lessons to other guys.
Our goal was wake surfing. Technically it’s surfing but on a short board and a low wave. It was cool!
The price for this please is rather moderate: 475 UAH starter pack (you will be taught – dragged on the water until you get on the board and go) and 45 UAH/minute of skating (10-15 minutes is enough). The price includes equipment, a vest and a boat. On weekdays it is cheaper.
